Hello from Michigan

There’s something about a simple change of scenery and not having to be “productive” every day that is so restful. I just wanted to send a quick hello from the suburbs in Michigan where we are enjoying time away with my husband’s side of family. Elizabeth is having the time of her life with her cousins and we’ve been antiquing several times!

I’ve been napping every time she naps and our days have been filled with new food experiences and gawking at all the adorable shutter-clad American homes. Seriously, the lot sizes are huge, the yards are lush and the houses scream charm. Troy and I went for a walk the other night and noticed how there aren’t any sidewalks in this neighbourhood and every house had a mailbox at the end of their yard. To us, it seems so American! Quaint.

Here are a few photos from our first few days here. Soak up summer ya’ll and thank God for every breath He gives us.
